Owner-Operator, 5280 Sprinklers — Serving Denver Since 2010
Conrad founded 5280 Sprinklers in 2010 with a mission to provide honest, reliable irrigation services to Denver homeowners. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, he's seen every type of sprinkler system and irrigation challenge Colorado's climate can throw at a system.
Conrad specializes in diagnosing complex irrigation issues, from underground leaks to valve problems that other companies miss. His deep understanding of Denver's clay soils, freeze-thaw cycles, and water pressure variations across different neighborhoods makes him uniquely qualified to solve irrigation problems efficiently.
In addition to 5280sprinklers.com, Conrad operates denversprinklerblowout.com during the fall blowout season. He works with a select group of clients who value quality, communication, and punctuality.
"I started this business because I saw too many homeowners getting overcharged for simple repairs or dealing with companies that didn't show up when promised. I wanted to create a service where customers know exactly who's coming, what the pricing is upfront, and that the work will be done right the first time."
Conrad believes in educating customers about their irrigation systems. During every service call, he takes time to explain what he's doing and why, pointing out potential issues before they become expensive problems. His honest approach means sometimes recommending a simple fix instead of an expensive replacement — even when it means less revenue for the business.
Having serviced thousands of systems across Cherry Creek, Wash Park, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, Aurora, and surrounding areas, Conrad understands the unique challenges each neighborhood faces — from older systems with thin-wall PVC in established neighborhoods to builder-grade components in newer developments.
From time to time, Conrad endeavors to make a small difference while traveling abroad as a photographer. Humanitarian needs are literally everywhere (yes, here in the good ole USA too).
Visiting Tororo, Uganda in late 2018, Conrad lent a hand with a drinking well that had not yet had a pump installed, along with working to solve a plumbing fitting problem high up on a water tower. He was responsible for the non-OSHA compliant ladder rigging.

Conrad raised funds and personally delivered a public address system to the Pearl Community Empowerment Foundation (PCE) near Kampala, Uganda. Run by a Ugandan woman named Beatrice, PCE focuses on educating and empowering young women and girls in rural communities — providing resources and opportunity rather than handouts.
More than 10 years have passed since doing several relief trips to the landfill (now closed, but people still dig there) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. On several occasions he brought supplies like rice, flip-flops, donated ointment from Bangkok, toothpaste, and toothbrushes to the women, children, and men who live and work in the landfill.
