Our business helps hundreds of customers with their irrigation and sprinkler system needs needs each year.
1. Service Scope: Our sprinkler start-up service includes turning on the system water, checking heads for alignment and proper coverage, and basic diagnostics. We may identify other issues while turning in your system. These will be priced additionally based on circumstances. If you suspect an issue, please make note when scheduling your appointment.
2. Leak Detection: Our leak detection add-on service focuses primarily on valve leaks (this is not included in a basic sprinkler startup service). Leaks in lateral lines may exist and those are beyond the scope of the leak detection service we offer. PLEASE take time to review your irrigation system after we depart - check inside the valve box periodically - ask us and we'll teach you how to open them. While exposed supply line leaks are typically visible, underground leaks may not be detectable during our brief visit. We strongly recommend installing leak detection devices in your crawlspace or basement and testing them quarterly.
3. System Vulnerabilities: Pressure fluctuations in water systems can cause older plastic parts to fail without warning, particularly exposed PVC or poly pipes. Ground settlement, roots, and other factors may also lead to pipe failure. Many older systems have very thin walled pvc main line pipes which are become brittle as they age. Previous freeze damage can also affect underground pipes if they had water in the for whatever reason after a winteriztion in the past even several years later. We recommned full replacement.
